The Presbytery of New York City encompasses the geographic boundaries of the City of New York, the five boroughs of the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. In our 97 congregations, we welcome nearly 17,000 members in worship, mission, and service to our city and beyond. We are a part of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Synod of the Northeast.

The Council on Congregational Ministry and Nurture will sponsor its annual Leadership Development Day on Saturday, February 25, 2012, from 8:30 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. at the Brick Presbyterian Church, 62 East 92nd Street, Manhattan. Registration is $20 and includes a continental breakfast and lunch. All church officers, continuing and newly elected, are specially urged to participate. All others are welcome to attend this event.

It is requested that the Clerks of Session make copies of the Registration Form to be used by the officers and anyone else who would be interested in registering for this event. Also attached is a file for a bulletin insert with the announcement of the event that can be copied.
It is that time of year again. Thank you all for the hard work that resulted in substantial compliance with the 2010 records. Our stated goal of 100% compliance can only be achieved with your help and cooperation. The Annual Statistical reports to the General Assembly is now done electronically. Therefore, you need to go online to access the forms and fill them out on-line.
The Annual Statistical Report and the Clerk’s Annual Questionnaire are only available online. The forms should be submitted electronically beginning Friday, December 10, 2011, the link is http://ogasys2.pcusa.org.
Other documents that must be completed and returned are the Necrology Report and the Clergy Compensation Form.

The official deadline for churches to submit their statistics to OGA is Wednesday, February 22, 2012. I recommend you get your statistics done as early as possible to avoid the annual congestion on the online system.
If you cannot access the online system set up an appointment and come by the Presbytery office and enter your statistics from here. We will have our annual statistics party on Saturday, January 28, 2012, for those who need assistance with the electronic filing. I understand that these reports require a bit of time and organization. This office stands ready to help you in any way it can.
